About the event

The ACGME/Docs with Disabilities Initiative Disability Resource Hub webinar series highlights practical strategies for advancing disability inclusion across graduate medical education. This session focuses on a growing collection of case studies that showcase real-world examples of successful disability accommodation in residency training. Each case study is co-authored by residency program directors and disabled physicians or trainees, offering a rare, collaborative perspective on how accommodations are implemented in practice. These examples span a range of specialties and clinical environments, illustrating how programs can thoughtfully and effectively support residents with disabilities while maintaining high standards for patient care and training. During this session, speakers will share selected case studies from the series, discussing the decision-making process, institutional collaboration, and practical steps that made these accommodations successful. The discussion will highlight concrete solutions that programs can adapt within their own training environments. By sharing these experiences, the authors aim to challenge persistent misconceptions…
